PURPOSE: To reduce the burden to a tester by adjusting the level of DTMF by the test circuit of an integrated circuit for telephone set and quickly switching the level to quickly perform the test and externally providing a DTMF generating circuit to test the integrated circuit for telephone set by a digital signal. ;CONSTITUTION: An integrated circuit (a) for telephone set tone receiver adjusts the level of a received DTMF signal by a level adjusting circuit (b) and converts it into a digital signal by a receiver circuit (c). Data to be supplied to an externally provided DTMF generating circuit (h) is generated by a data generating circuit (d) and is supplied to the DTMP generating circuit (h) from a terminal Ti.
