PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the wear of a component in slidable contact with a component on which dimples are formed by WPC processing.;SOLUTION: In the looper mechanism 1 of a sewing machine comprising a looper holder 13 to which a looper 10 for catching a needle thread inserted to a sewing needle is attached and which is moved back and forth in a prescribed direction, a looper holder guide 14 to which the looper holder 13 is inserted slidably in the prescribed direction and which is swung around an axis extended in a direction roughly orthogonal to the prescribed direction and a looper holder guide holding part 15 for swingably holding the looper holder guide 14 in a slidable contact manner, the looper holder guide 14 is composed by forming the dimples 14d on a surface to be in slidable contact with the looper holder 13 by the WPC processing and then executing tempering processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
