PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the passive shedding device of a water jet loom, with which a lubricant retaining in the bearing of a guide roller is hardly emulsified with water used in the loom and an excellent lubricating state is always kept in the bearing.;SOLUTION: In the shedding device 10 of a water jet loom with which the shedding motion of a heddle frame 26 is carried out by a driving mechanism 11 arranged on a floor and spring mechanisms 29 and 30 installed at the upper part of the loom, the shedding device comprises ropes 17 and 18 for connecting the driving mechanism 11 to the heddle frame 26, a plurality of guide rollers 20 that are integrally equipped with a bearing 41 and guide the ropes 17 and 18 and a supporting shaft 19 for supporting the guide rollers 20 through the bearing 41. A ring-shaped member having a diameter larger than that of the bearing 41 is loosely laid between the mutually approaching guide rollers 20 and sealing spaces 57 for retaining the lubricant are formed between the guide rollers 20 by the ring-shaped member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
