The light has housing (20) with a translucent plate (32) and two lamps (36, 38) provided at opposite ends of the housing, where the plate covers the housing. A power supply connection is provided in the housing for the lamps that are connected parallelly. The lamps are inserted into sockets fastened at a wall of the housing such that the lamps are arranged diagonal to the plate. The light is inserted into a recess of vehicle`s bumper. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a registration plate light.
