Total temperature probe and total temperature determination method

The invention concerns a total temperature probe for an aircraft and a method for determining total temperature with such a probe. The total temperature measuring probe comprises a base (1) whereof the outer surface (2) is designed to be mounted substantially coplanar with a skin of the aircraft, a shaft (3) projecting from the base (1) and bearing an active part (4) of the probe. The probe further comprises several temperature sensors arranged on the outer surface of the base (1) and distributed around the shaft (3). The method consists in determining the total temperature of the air flow around the probe based on the temperature measurement carried out in the probe active part (4), and on the maximum difference between the measurements carried out by the temperature sensors (6 to 9).
