PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling gene expression which is practicable by a simple system without a risk of adverse effects on a cell.;SOLUTION: The method for controlling the gene expression by which the expression of the objective gene is controlled by regulating the transcription of the objective gene in the cell is provided. In the method for controlling the gene expression, a promoter sequence P is arranged on the upstream side of the objective gene G, a responsive sequence B containing a binding sequence of 5'-TGACGT-3' is arranged on the upstream side of the promoter sequence P, an AUREO1 protein exists in the cell, the AUREO1 protein is bound to the binding sequence under irradiation of blue light, the AUREO1 protein is liberated from the binding sequence under nonirradiation of the blue light, the activity or inactivity of the promoter sequence P is regulated by binding or liberating the AUREO1 protein to or from the binding sequence with irradiation or the nonirradiation of the blue light, and thereby the transcription of the objective gene G is regulated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
