An ice handling device includes an ozone generator (7) that has a housing (8) having an air inlet (9) and an air outlet (10) functionally connected to the air inlet for allowing air to flow through the housing (8). The ozone generator (7) further includes an ozone generating device (11 ) in the housing (8). The air outlet (10) is functionally connected to a thermally insulated interior (4) of the ice handling device for feeding air containing ozone from ozone generator (7) to the thermally insulated interior (4), and the air inlet (9) of the ozone generator is functionally connected to the thermally insulated interior (4) of the ice handling device for receiving air from the thermally insulated interior (4). Ice handling devices comprising at least an ice bin, ice maker and/or a combination thereof are described. Methods for cleaning an ice handling devices are also described.
