The invention relates to a disposable container for deep frying oil or deep frying fat as well as a deep fat fryer that is equipped with such a disposable container. The inventive disposable container allows the deep frying oil or deep frying fat to be handled in a particularly safe manner. In order to be able to do so, the disposable container comprises a closable lower area (21) that is formed at least by a bottom (22) and sidewalls (23) as well as an upper area (25). The upper area (25) can be placed in a first position in which the same essentially rests on the lower area (21) as well as in a second position in which the upper area (25) extends the sidewalls (23) of the lower area (21) upward. The sidewalls can be extended upward by folding or displacing parts of the disposable container, for example.
