The present invention provides a microalgae having high ability to produce aliphatic hydrocarbons having 16 to 26 carbon atoms, a method for producing oil having a step of culturing the microalgae, an oil collected from the microalgae, and obtained from the microalgae. It aims at providing the carbon dioxide fixation method which has the process of culturing a fuel and this micro algae. The present invention is a microalga belonging to the genus Navicula having an ability to produce an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 16 to 26 carbon atoms. The microalgae Navicula genus oiliticus sp. JPCC DA0580 (FERM BP-11201) is provided.
