PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for controlling the idle RPM of a fan clutch are provided to improve cooling efficiency and a reaction speed as oil always flows in an operation chamber.;CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the idle RPM of a fan clutch is as follows. The idle state of a cooling fan is detected while the temperature of coolants is compared with pre-set operation temperature. The RPM of the cooling fan, and the temperature of the coolants are inputted in an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(S630). Valve control signals controlled by the temperature of the coolants, and the RPM of the cooling fan are outputted(S640). The valve control signals are inputted in a valve(S650).
