PURPOSE: A method and a related device capable of controlling the display of the list of items in a standby mode are provided to block the power supplying device of an entire mother board by maintaining a KDB(Key and Display Board) which is supplied and operating for the processing of a display and a keyboard in a standby mode and the receiving of a remote controlling device frame. CONSTITUTION: Contents are recorded at more than one storage element of a first memory and more than one storage element of a second memory(S3). An electronic device in a standby mode is formed(S4). An event indicated with a display controlled by a microcontroller, which is connected to a switching circuit, is detected(S5). An access to the first memory and the second memory is blocked before an event detection stage and after a constitutional stage in a standby mode. The switching circuit is controlled.
