The device (1) of the suspension of the type interposable between a support structure (20) and a mattress, said device (1) including: - a base (2) for fixing the device (1) to the structure (20), - a plate (3) whose face (4) above is adapted to form the bearing face of the mattress, - of the damping means (6) connecting the plate (3) to the base (2), these means (6) of damping being able to pass from a so-called rest position in which the plate (3) is moved away from the base (2) for fixing to a damping position in which the damping means (6) are compressed in the direction towards the plate (3) of the base (2). This device is characterized in that the plate (3) has, on the face (4) of the top, at least one elastically deformable cushion (8).
