Commerical Use for Taro (A Project of the Instituto Matia Mulumba in Colombia)

The name of the organization for the project studied was the Instituto Matia Mulumba, a multipurpose agency which promotes the social, cultural and economic development of poor Black and Indian communities in the Pacific Coast region of Colombia. The project was planned in two phases. Phase one was to conduct initial research into the technical feasibility of producing various taro based products. The second phase of the plan involved the commercialization of whichever product emerged from the research phase as the most promising.
