摘要

Linear multistep methods (LM) for second-order differential equations (DE) are considered. Symmetric LM are applied to DE without first derivatives. The methods can be tuned to user knowledge on the location of the frequencies for exact solutions of DE. Numerical results are compared with symmetric methods of Lambert-Watson and Gautschi's method.
