The extending of the resources of liquids fuel at the present time is proceeding along two lines—one of them is the increase in the number of units for thermal and catalytic croaking of gas-oil fractions of petroleum, and the other way, which has just begun to be developed, is the use of the heaviest residues of petroleummazuts and tars.nThe method of cracking the tar and coking the heavy residues by the continuous-proeess system considerably increases the extraction of light products from petroleum, increasing it up to 70%.
