There a e seven advanced institutes of aeronautics that are affiliated with the Ministry of Aviation Industry and among which three are national key universities; Beijing Institute of Aeronautics (in Beijing City), Northwest Industrial University (in Xian City) and Nanjing Institute of Aeronautics (in Nanjing City): three are general universities; Shengyang Institute of Aviation Industry (in Shengyang City), Nanchang Institute of Aviation Industry (in Nanchang City) and Zhengzhou Institute of Aviation Industry and Management (in Znengzhou City); along with Xian College of Aviation Industry and Technology which accepts middle school graduates to test-implement the two school systems of four-year technical secondary school and five-year college (in Xian City).
