Global oil production continues its steady climb

GLOBAL OIL supply has risen steadily in recent months. Dece'mber output was up by 270,000 b/d, reaching 83.9m b/d, according to the IEA. But the agency estimates that supply over the whole of 2009 was down by 1.65m b/d, from 84.24m b/d in 2008, because of the steep fall in demand.
