ARF 2023 REPORT

On Nov. 6-8, the 9th Asian/Australian Rotorcraft Forum (ARF) and the 5th International Basic Research Conference on Rotorcraft Technology (IBRCRT) were successfully held at the Jiangsu Provincial Convention Center in Nanjing, China. This conference was sponsored by the ARF International Executive Committee, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), the Vertical Flight Society (VFS) and the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (CSAA).At the opening ceremony, Professor Bin Jiang, Vice President of NUAA and Chairman of the Technical Committee of ARF/ IBRCRT, delivered a welcome speech. Welcome addresses were also given by Dr. Yasutada Tanabe, the representative of the ARF International Executive Committee from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA); Mr. Angelo Collins, VFS Executive Director (by video); Mr. Junchen Yao, Vice President and Secretary General of the CSAA (by video); and Professor Pinqi Xia of NUAA and the General Chairman of ARF/IBRCRT.Guoquan Zhang, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office of NUAA, presided over the opening ceremony. More than 200 people, including experts, professors,scholars, engineers and graduate students from five countries - China, Japan, South Korea, Italy and the United States - participated in person at the forum and conference.
