摘要

Immunoaffinity (IA) LC-MS/MS (IA-LC-MS/MS) for protein quantification has been subject to tremendous interest and growth in recent years. Special journal issues such as this current edition of Bioanalysis that focus on protein quantification by LC—MS/ MS include a broad range of contemporary reports on IA-LC-MS/MS approaches. This is testament to the emphasis this area is experiencing. MS instrumentation, as well as sample preparation workflows, including IA techniques, have matured substantially and have unlocked new bioanalytical capabilities and applications. As precedent is set with IA-LC-MS/MS bioanalysis, it is recognized that expertise from proteomics and bioanalytical communities with experience in ligand-binding assays (LBAs), as well as LC-MS/MS of small molecules, intersect in this interdisciplinary field.
