The Importance of Augmented Reality Application for Children’s Development During Preschool Years

摘要

The advancement of technology contributed tremendously in the field of education. The use of augmented reality (AR) is one the technological trend in preschool learning which promotes children visualisation experience. Many literatures concluded that AR resulted in positive impactsin preschool children development. This paper focuses on the role of AR application in classroom setting during preschool years in order to promote children’s life development. A meta-analysis approach was conducted to review and analyze twelve related studies. This study shows thatAR is a visualisation tool which has the potential to attract and improve children’s comprehension towards learning. Besides, the AR application is proven to enhance children’s development especially in their cognitive, social, language, and motivational development.
