Scientists in human and animal medicine are uncov-ering miraculous discoveries that greatly affect the morbidity and mortality of human beings and animals. Daily, we become more aware of these advances through the media. Our lives are being prolongedand raade more enjoyable because of these great advances in medicine. The greatest problem in human and animal medicine is to extend known reliable services to all of the population, whether they be animals or human beings. Food animal practitioners areaware of the value of health services being delivered in the form of production medicine. The application of these services is evident in many production centers, resulting in increased productivity and, more importantly, less suffering from disease andparasites for animals through properly designed health-delivery systems.
