The return of the three Ks

Chris Burlace takes a look at three T5 conversions which bring back names from the Eighties and early Nineties. IN THE 1980s Autohomes (UK) Ltd. of Poole was Britain's largest manufacturer of motorcaravans. The company had grown to prominence by making coachbuilt models and only took on VW's Transporter in 1980, following the launch of the T3. In less than three years the Autohomes elevating roof Kamper became the best-selling 'van in the UK. It was soon followed by the Kameo and Karisma high-tops then, as VW phased out the last of the T3s and launched the T4, by Komet, Kompact and Koncord.
