France Publishes Final Decree Implementing Three-Strikes Anti-Piracy Law

On July 27 France published the final decree implementing the country's controversial and oft-delayed "three-strikes-and-you're-out" internet piracy law, opening the way for emailed warnings to go out to P2P downloaders starting this autumn.rnThe new decree responds to procedural objections raised by the French data protection authority (CNIL) in January, when it held up implementation of the Creation and Internet Law, which was passed by Parliament in 2009.
