Sustainability in education

Umow Lai is carving out a reputation for delivering sustainable buildings in the university sector as assessed by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). Umow Lai delivered the building services design for the M~2 Building at the University of South Australia, which last month was awarded a 5 star Green Star rating by the GBCA. This follows 5 star ratings for a number of other university building Umow Lai was associated with including the University of Tasmania's (UTAS) new Medical Science 2 (MS2) building, UTAS's Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, as well as the University of Adelaides Innova21 engineering faculty, the first 6 Star Education Green Star rated building in Australia.
