Chemicalanalysisandonefeedingtrial(0-5weeks)wereconductedtoassessthenutritionalvalueofJackfruitseeds(JS)thathadbeensubjectedtoacombinationofsoaking,boiling,andfermentation(SBF).FivedietswereformulatedwiththeprocessedJackfruitseedmeal(JSM)representing0,8,16,24,and32%ofthedietDM.ProcessingreducedtanninsandoxalatesinrawJSbyover80%.However,inclusionofincreasinglevelsoftheprocessedJSMinbroilerdietsdepressedgrowthandfeedconversion.Soaking-boiling-fermentationtreatmentdoesnotappeartobeaneffectivemethodtoimprovethenutritionalvalueofJackfruitseedsforbroilerchickens.
