The use of technology in education continues to draw the attention of researchers, and this study adds to the wealth of knowledge in this area. The research examines the differences between three cohorts enrolled in physics courses. One class used technology-based content-media-rich simulation software based on social constructivist theory-while the other two classes were taught using traditional teacher-centered content. The use of technology-enabled active learning (TEAL) resulted in minor gains in achievement compared to the control classes. However, the impact on teachers was more interesting.
