These ways of life are directly or indirectly for the preservation of life. Are ingenious methods for realizing and the ideal realm of life of nature of harmony between nature and the people inside.%庄子不做山林隐士，而是在充满险恶和诸多困境的世俗社会中追求天人合一的理想人生境界，这势必造成理想与现实的矛盾。这种矛盾使庄子不能追求统一的人格模式，当然也就没有统一的生存方式。这些生存方式主要有“无用为用”、“缘督以为经”、“内直而外曲”等三种。这些生存方式，都是直接或间接为保全生命，并且为实现与自然合一的理想的人生境界而采取的一些无奈而巧妙的办法。
