浅析中西文化差异对英汉翻译的影响

摘要

Language is a social phenomenon, as the use of a lan-guage is closely related to the regional politics, social life, cus-toms and habits, religious beliefs, historical allusions, proverbs, thinking styles, individual values, and standards of conduct of the nation in which the language is used, namely, language reflects the unique culture of a nation, region or country. Revolving around Chinese-Western cultural differences, the influence that Chinese-Western cultural differences exert on English-Chinese translation is explored from four aspects in this paper.%语言是一种社会现象，一种语言的使用与该语言所在民族的地域政治、社会生活、风俗习惯、宗教信仰、历史典故、谚语、思维方式、个人价值观、行为准则等有着密切的关联，因为语言反映一个民族、地区、国家的特有文化。本文围绕中西之间的文化差异，从四个方面探讨中西之间的文化差异对英汉翻译产生的影响。
