The motivation of learning history is a kind of psycho-logical motivation which can contribute to the students to produce the desire of learning history and transfer this desire into the ac-tual learning initiative, and it's also a necessary drive to promote students to learn history. Just like the machines won't start with-out the engine, learning motivation for students' learning has a vital role. Under the promoting of history learning motivation, students will love history from their heart, and the enthusiasm, the initiative and learning efficiency of learning history will be greatly improved. In this article, firstly, the writer analyzes the common reasons why senior high school students lack history learning motivation and points out some common problems. Then, the writer tries to explore some strategies about how to motivate senior high school students' learning motivation on history subject from the teachers and the outside and inner courage.
