The language of art is translated by the methods of image preservation,image omission.Cultural words are translated by the same method.Cultural image is abstract culture.Cultural linguistics categorize culture into material,system.Its subordinate culture has food culture,nutrition,food project,wine culture,costume culture,architectural culture,opera culture and so on.Insti⁃tutional culture refers to the social regulations of human beings,such as social system,religious system,production system,educa⁃tion system,labor management and distribution system,family system,kinship relationship,etiquette and custom,behavior style.Difference in cultural image in CE translation is reflected in image omission,image replacement and image preservation.Cultural images include artistry,language and several aspects prevalent in the daily routine.Cultural words specifically convey meaning vividly.Cultural loaded words constitute elements of ethnic culture.Historical novels,one of literature genres,can contribute to preservation of historic records.
