Analysis of Main Characters in The Dead from Symbolism

Joyce's short story "The Dead," published in 1914,is the final and longest story of his collection Dubliners.This paper will try to find out the connotation of the "dead" in the fiction through description of the conventional life and symbolic analysis of main characters in the novel.
