近些年,学生的自主学习能力培养已经受到了语言研究者的极大关注。学生的自主学习能力的培养要求改变传统的以教师为中心的教学模式,教师作为传统意义上的主讲者与传授者的角色受到巨大冲击,因此,需要重新思考自己在大学英语教学中的作用。在深入分析自主学习理论及目前高校中存在的自主学习问题的基础上,探讨教师在大学英语自主学习模式中的作用。%Fostering learner autonomy has aroused attention of language researchers over the last few years. It requires the teacher to change the traditional teacher-centered teaching model. As a result, the role of a teacher as a speaker and initiator will be chal-lenged dramatically. Therefore, the teacher should reconsider the role in college English teaching. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of the teacher in college English autonomous learning model in terms of the theory of autonomous learn-ing and problems existed in college English teaching.
