"Wolf Totem"is an ecological literature works which has caused great repercussions in Chinese literature circles. It is a brilliant treasure of the Chinese contemporary literary works. Translating outstanding literary works is an important means to im⁃prove the communication ability of Chinese literature and cultural influence on foreign literature. The English version of"Wolf Totem"is not only an authentic translation which is suitable for foreigners to read, but also creates amazing sales in overseas. It once created a new income record of copyright overseas output of Chinese literary works and became a classic works of Chinese contemporary literature works output to overseas. From the perspective of eco-translatology, based on the full analysis of eco-translatology and the totem culture and ecological concept of"Wolf Totem", this paper evaluates and analyses the English version of"Wolf Totem", and also puts forward its own views on literature translation as well as how to make Chinese contemporary litera⁃ture go abroad.%《狼图腾》是在我国文学作品学界引起过巨大反响的生态文学作品，是我国当代文学作品中灿烂的瑰宝。优秀文学作品的对外翻译是提高我国文学对外交往能力和文化影响力的重要手段。《狼图腾》的英译本不仅做到了翻译到位、适宜外国人品读，更是在海外销量惊人，一度创造了我国文学作品版权海外输出收入的新纪录，成为我国当代文学作品向外输出的典范作品。该文从生态翻译学的角度出发，在充分分析生态翻译学及《狼图腾》的图腾文化及生态观念的基础上，评析了《狼图腾》英译本，并对文学作品对外翻译问题及如何使中国当代文学作品更好地走出国门问题提出了自己的见解与看法。
