The Chinese construction hua shi zheme shuo(话是这么说)has evolved from a clause form to a discourse marker through pragmatic inference.The mechanisms of grammaticalization have many aspects,such as syntax,semantics,pragmatics and so on.The discourse marker hua shi zheme shuo(话是这么说)has turn-taking function and adversative function in relation of the clauses;in interpersonal function,it has the functions of subjective evaluation and self-presumption.There are asymmetries between hua shi zheme shuo(话是这么说) and hua shi name shuo(话是那么说).%"话是这么说"已经由一个完整小句习语化为一个话语标记,其语法化的机制有句法、语义及语用等方面,其主观化诱因是语用推理.话语标记"话是这么说"在语句关联上具有话轮转接功能和让步衔接功能,在人际功能上具有主观评价功能和自我推测功能."话是这么说"和"话是那么说"存在不对称现象.
