非英语专业大学生元认知策略使用与英语口语相关性研究

         

摘要

An empirical study on the relationship between Non-English majors’use of metacognitive strategies and oral English proficiency has been conducted. Quantitative method is adopted in the study.Results of the study reveal that the use of metacognitive strategies in oral English among Chinese college Non-English majors is not very satisfactory. Next, among the five categories of metacognitive strategies,what students use comparatively the most is the category of goals and plans while the category of self-monitoring rates is rarely used.The usa of the categories of self-monitoring, self-managing,selective attention as well as plans and goals exhibits certain explanatory power in the differences of the students’ oral English results. The study also shows some positive relationship between the frequency of overall metacognitive strategy use and the results of oral English proficiency.%就非英语专业大学生元认知策略使用与英语口语之间的关系进行了实证研究。研究采用定量的方法,结果显示,非英语专业大学生在英语口语过程中使用元认知策略的情况不容乐观。就五类常用的元认知策略而言,使用最多的是目标计划类,最少的是监控类。监控类策略、管理、选择注意和目标计划类元认知策略的使用情况对英语口语成绩的差异有一定的解释力。其次,整体使用元认知策略的频率与英语口语成绩存在相关性。
