会通与格义——辜鸿铭儒经英译的生态翻译学解读

生态翻译学是一种生态学途径的翻译研究,它将翻译定义为：译者适应翻译生态环境的选择活动。辜鸿铭会通中西文化并推崇儒家文化,适应了当时翻译生态环境的选择,其选择的格义策略也适应了当时的翻译生态环境。适应翻译生态环境应成为典籍外译的一个原则。%Translation is defined as translators＇ selective activities to adapt to the translation eco-environment in the horizon of Eco-translatology,an ecological approach to translation study.GU Hong-ming＇s integration of the Chinese and Western cultures,together with his canonization of Confucianism,adapts to the selection of the then translational eco-environment,which is also adapted by his translation strategy,geyi.Then a conclusion can be made that adapting to translational eco-environment should become a principle in the translation of traditional classics.
