跨文化交际视角下《最蓝的眼睛》中黑人生存困境探析

摘要

The Bluest Eye portrays an eleven-year-old black girl named Pecola Breedlove who is eager to have a pair of beautiful blue eyes like the white people. Unfortunately, Pecola is mad in the end of the story and mistakenly believes that she possesses a pair of blue eyes. So the novel depicts the culture clash between the marginalized black culture and the dominant white culture. The paper analyzes the black peopleˊs survival predicament from the per-spective of cross-culture communication. It studies Obstacles appearing in cultural communication between the black culture and the white from three aspects, that is ethnocentrism, stereotype as well as prejudice and discrimina-tion. Then the different attitudes towards the black culture are been analyzed. The paper also discusses the black peo-ple how to get rid of the dilemma and survive under the control of the dominated white culture.%小说《最蓝的眼睛》讲述了被边缘化的黑人文化和主流的白人文化之间的冲突。由于种族中心主义，传媒、教育和宗教传播刻板印象以及黑人心理扭曲等因素，导致黑人文化和白人文化交际过程中存在障碍。只有坚守黑人文化，黑人才能在白人主流文化的控制下摆脱生存的困境得以幸存，实现平等交流。
