Thus, against the debate between composition and translation, we should encourage the author of research papers either to write the English abstracts themselves or to ask the translator to help them write the abstracts in English; the editors for English abstracts should observe the norms for composition in editing English abstracts, instead of following the Chinese abstracts as the only standard.
