The image of animal plays an important role in the progress of providing accurate information of poetry.The essay pays its focus on the specific questions about poetry translation and the transfer of animal culture in poetry.Under the guidance of Bassnett's Cultural Translation Theory,translators can adopt translation strategies and methods to convey the rich connotations of animal image and deliver a unique cultural and aesthetic charm to the target language readers.The study found that the rich connotations of animal image can be displayed by the methods of adding words,conversing image ,editing and rearrangement.
