德莱赛《嘉莉妹妹》与莫言《红高粱》中新女性形象之比较

摘要

As the two leading figures in the history of world literature,Theodore Dreiser represents the development of western modernist novels,while Mo Yan is the leader of Chinese contemporary literature.Although they live in different cultural and historical background ,both of them have made an indelible contribution in the description of new feminism.The characters they described representing the Western and Eastern female arousal respectively,which makes these two works have a certain commonality.This paper will make a analysis of the heroines in Theodore Dreiser's Sister Carrie and Mo Yan's Red Sorghum,to compare the similarities and differences of women's liberation movement in the Western and Eastern world.%作为世界文学史上两位泰斗级人物，西奥多·德莱赛代表了西方现代主义小说的发展，而莫言是当代中国文坛的领军人物。虽然他们两人处于不同的文化背景和时代背景，两人都在描写新女性主义方面做出了不可磨灭的贡献，笔下的人物分别代表了西方和东方女性的觉醒，这使两人的作品有了一定的共通性。本文从对比德莱赛的《嘉莉妹妹》与莫言的《红高粱》中女主人公的角度，来分析比较中西方女性解放运动的相似性与差异性。
