《新视野大学英语读写教程》教师用书中的翻译问题探讨

《新视野大学英语读写教程》是当前不少高校大学英语教学使用的教材，为其配套的教师用书中存在或多或少的翻译问题。这些翻译问题大致分为过载或欠额翻译、平淡无味的标题翻译、冗赘繁琐的翻译、误解语法的翻译等几种类型。之所以出现这些失误主要在于翻译过程中理解和表达出了问题。大学英语教材的编撰者和审稿人应该采取更加严谨的态度，仔细推敲教师用书的各个环节，将其中的翻译错误减少到最低限度。%New Horizon College English (Reading and Writing) is one of the widely used textbooks in many universities. There are certain translation mistakes in the teacher’s book, which covers the following types: the mistranslation resulting from the grammar-misunderstanding, over-translation or under-translation, the boring title-translation and word-to-word translation. The reason lies in the misunderstanding and incongruous expressions. College English textbook compilers and examiners should be more restrict in refining details of the teacher’s book and try to reduce the translation mistakes to the minimum.
