Reading comprehension is very important for the English learners, but the cultural differences between China and foreign countries greatly affect the readers' correct understanding. The essay tries to analyze the role played by the cultural context in reading comprehension from the perspective of Relevance Theory, and make teachers construct students' cross-cultural context knowlcdge ,which can help them better understand the reading comprehension.%阅读理解对于英语学习者非常重要,而中西方文化差异在阅读理解中极大地影响着读者正确解读篇章.正确认识从关联理论的视角分析文化语境在英语篇章阅读理解过程中的作用,可以让教师有意识地构建学生的跨文化语境知识,从而更加准确有效地完成阅读理解.
