通过对就业市场和高校的调查，以河南的三所高校的英语本科专业为例，统计并分析了2006-2010年高校英语专业毕业生就业率，指出中国高校急需培养复合型英语人才，就此提出一些建议，即改革课程设置，鼓励个案研究，学习与实践相结合和开展联姻办学。%Based on a survey of the job market and with college English majors in three universities in Henan as a case in point, the present study uses lots of statistics to analyze the employment rate of graduates from 2006 to 2010. It points out that China＇ s universities are in urgent need for reforming the training mode of Eng- lish majors and then puts forward some proposals on trainging composite foreign language talents, for example, reforming the curriculum, encouraging case studies, combining learning and practice, communicating with other schools.
