《墨子》英译概观

摘要

Mozi is a classic work with rich content and profound cultural deposit in the history of China. It is a rare cultural treasure to both China and the world for wide subjects it covers. Since 19th century, Mozi has been a theme of research in the western sinology circle and exerted relatively large influence on the production of several versions of English translations and many articles as well as books on the study of its content over the past 150 years. This paper traces the development of Mozi’s English translations through description, analysis and discussion of the representative English versions, articles, books and materials on the study of Mozi.%　　《墨子》是我国历史上一部内容丰富、文化底蕴深厚的典籍，其所涵盖的学科范围广泛，是我国乃至世界历史上都不可多得的文化瑰宝.早在19世纪，《墨子》就已经成为西方汉学界研究的对象之一.150多年来世界上产生了多个《墨子》英译本和众多研究其思想内容的英文文献和译本，在译界产生了较大的影响.通过梳理和评析《墨子》英译有代表性的文献和译本，探索了《墨子》英译发展的脉络和轨迹.
