大学英语衔接专门用途英语教学改革路径∗

         

摘要

在高等医学院校中将专门用途英语( English for specific purpose,ESP)和通用英语( English for general purpose, EGP)有效结合、将学科内容与语言知识进行整合,构建全新的医学院校大学英语ESP教学体系是重要的议题。结合学校实际情况,立足于学校学分制课程教学改革,基于社会、学生需求,借鉴大学英语前期改革的成果和经验,从理论上对大学英语和ESP教学方法与手段、教材改革、成绩评价等方面进行全面改革的探索,以引导学生在听、说、读、写、译等方面领会或掌握一定的学习策略,提高学生自主学习能力,实现进一步提高大学英语教学质量和学生英语实际应用能力的全面培养目标。%English teaching in medical college in China is still on the way. Currently, it is a vital issue to discuss about how to combine English for Specific Purpose (ESP) with English for General Purpose (EGP) effectively, how to integrate contents of a discipline and knowledge of a lan-guage, and how to establish a thoroughly new teaching system of college English and ESP in medical college. Based on the present situation of Baotou medical college and the achievements of curriculum teaching reform in credit system, the teaching reform of college English discussed in this paper is explored from the aspects of teaching approaches, teaching material, and achievement assessment, with social and students requirements and experi-ence of reaching reform in the early stage analyzed, so as to further improve students' autonomous learning ability, enhance the teaching quality of col-lege English, and achieve the goal of comprehensive cultivation of students' application ability, while guiding students in understanding or grasping some learning strategies in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating in English.
