Appreciating nature on its own terms, which means being free from the dominant appreciating paradigms in traditional natural aesthetics and seeking a new legitimate basis according to nature′s own features, is an essential part of the turn from natural aesthetics to environmental aesthetics.Whether it is the cognitive or non-cognitive approach in environmental aesthetics, they share the goal of challenging traditional appreciating paradigms and establishing the features of natural aesthetics.While challenging the traditional appreciating paradigms, the establishment of their own forms of knowledge also indicates possibilities for the future development of aesthetics.%按自然本身来欣赏,即挣脱传统自然美学中占主导地位的艺术欣赏范式,按照自然审美欣赏自身的特点去为它寻找新的合法依据,是20世纪后半期西方传统自然美学向环境美学转折的根本诉求;无论是环境美学中的认知派还是非认知派,这两种最重要途径的共同目标都是试图挑战传统美学的艺术欣赏范式并确立自然审美欣赏自身的特质;在对传统自然美学观构成挑战的同时,它们自身的知识形态的建构也预示了美学未来发展的某些重要可能.
