Objective To observe the effect of the self-made prescription of Chinese rhubarb and NotoDanshen Danshen on treating cirrhosis after hepatitis. Method The patients which were chnically dianosed cirrhosis after hepatitis were randomly devided into the treating group and the contrast group with 48 cases in every group .The patients in the treating group were remedied with the self-made prescription, and those in contrast group were remedied with the traditional Chinese and Western medicine after 4 weeks,one course of treatment.Results The general effect rates of two groups were 93.75% and 79.16% respectively, there was an obvious difference between them (P<0.05), ALT，AST，A/G，DB，r% had significant meanings between before-treating and after-treating (P<0.05) ,and DB had significant meanings between the treating group and the contrast group (P<0.05). Conclusion The self-made prescription of Chinese rhubarb and NotoDanshen Danshen was effective on treating cirrhosis after hepatitis.
