    • 摘要: Plants from the genus Cannabis,and strains of Cannabis sativa in particular,have been used in medicine since ancient times.The Cannabis plant contains more than 500 chemical compounds,with two main phytocannabinoids consisting of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol(THC),the psychoactive constituent,and cannabidiol(CBD),which does not bear this effect.This paper aims at providing a perspective on the potential therapeutic effects of CBD based on its preferential interaction with transient potential receptor V2(TRPV2).Many formulations based on Cannabis extract have been licensed for therapeutic use in some Western countries.Among these,the most relevant are Sativex(THC+CBD,used mainly for the treatment of spasticity in multiple sclerosis)and Epidyolex(purified plant-derived CBD,used for some rare childhood epilepsies).

    • 摘要: BACKGROUND Previous studies have found that hyperuricaemia(HUA)is closely related to intestinal flora imbalance.AIM The current study investigated the effects and safety of washed microbiota transplantation(WMT)on serum uric acid(SUA)levels in different populations.METHODS A total of 144 patients who received WMT from July 2016 to April 2020 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University and had SUA data before treatment were selected.Changes in SUA levels before and after treatment were retrospectively reviewed based on short-term and mid-term effects of WMT regimens.SUA levels measured in the last test within 3 mo after the first WMT represented the short-term effect,and SUA levels measured in the last test within 3-6 mo after the first WMT represented the mid-term effect.The patients were divided into an HUA group(SUA>416μM)and a normal uric acid(NUA)group(SUA≥202μM to≤416μM)based on pretreatment SUA levels.RESULTS Average short-term SUA levels in the HUA group decreased after WMT(481.00±99.85 vs 546.81±109.64μM,n=32,P0.05).Only 1/144 patients developed mild diarrhea after WMT.CONCLUSION WMT reduces short-term SUA levels in patients with HUA with mild side effects but has no obvious effect on SUA levels in patients with NUA.

    • 摘要: Age-dependent Radiation Dose Rates from Canine Sn-117m Treatments Matthew G.Arno1,Chad Smith2(1.Foxfire Scientific,Arlington,TX;2.FX Masse,Gloucester,MA)Abstract:Tin-117m(Sn-117m)is used to treat dogs with osteoarthritic joints by radiosynoviorthesis.The decay process for Sn-117m is internal conversion wherein IC electrons and auger electrons provide the therapeutic effect.Additionally,the most prominent gamma emission is 158.6 keV.The effective dose rate received by a person interacting at close distances with a treated dog is needed to determine the person’s total dose and thus regulatory compliance.Simple measurement of the dose rate at a given distance does not provide an accurate measurement of the effective dose to a person due to the non-uniform nature of the radiation field at close distances.MNCP models of the interactions of five ages of humans at three distances were created to determine the effective dose rates using the methodology from NRC Regulatory Guide 8.40.Ratios of the effective dose rate to the person to the measured dose rate at 1 m from the same source were calculated.

    • 摘要: Dear editor,This letter models and analyzes the Matthew effect under switching social networks via distributed competition.A competitive strategy is leveraged to trace the evolution of individuals in social systems under the Matthew effect.In addition,a consensus filter is utilized to decentralize the model with undirected graphs used to describe the interactions among individuals in social networks.Further,a term is added to the dynamic consensus filter to compensate for the influence of the switching of communication networks on the model.In this letter,the convergence of the proposed Matthew effect model is theoretically proved,and simulative experiments are conducted to verify the availability of the model.In particular,this letter points out the state and evolution of each individual in social systems with distributed competition,and the influence of the social environment on the development of individuals is also intuitively displayed.

    • 摘要: Osteoarthritis is a common chronic irreversible joint disease characterized by degenerative changes of articular cartilage and secondary hyper osteogeny. Knee osteoarthritis(KOA) affects not only the articular cartilage, but also the entire joint, including subchondral bone, joint capsule, synovial membrane, meniscus, ligaments, periarticular muscles, and tendons. The primary aim of treatment is to relieve symptoms, delay joint degeneration, and maximally maintain patient's quality of life. There are many risk factors contributing to the development of KOA, including climate. This review will discuss the relationship between climate in cold region and KOA and the possibility of modifying risk factors such as the environment for the prevention and treatment of KOA.

    • 摘要: Objective:To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of vacuum-assisted excision for benign intraductal papilloma of breast.Methods:The databases including PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,WangFang,CNIK,VIP and Web of Science were searched by computer,according the inclusion and exclusion criteria after screening of literature.The Cochrane handbook and Newcastle-Ottawa scale was used to evaluate the studies.Then the Review Manager 5.3 software was to used analyze the data.Results:A total of 1016 patients was included in 9 articles.The amount of blood loss in vacuum-assisted surgery was less than that in open surgery[MD=-6.38,95%CI(-9.90,-2.86),P<0.05].The drainage[MD=-2.56,95%CI(-4.97,-0.15,P<0.05]and drainage time[MD=-0.25,95%CI(-0.40,-0.09),P<0.05]in vacuum-assisted surgery was less than that in open surgery.There were also few postoperative complications than that in open surgery[RR=0.43,95%CI(0.29,0.64),P<0.05].Compared with open surgery,the postoperative recurrence rate was lower in vacuum-assisted surgery[RR=0.26,95%CI(0.14,0.49),P<0.05].Last,there was no statistically significant difference in the operative time between vacuum-assisted surgery and open surgery,[SD=-12.82,95%CI(-25.70,0.06),P=0.05].Conclusion:Compared with open surgery,vacuum-assisted excision has the advantages of less blood loss and lower postoperative complications,but the operative time is not statistically significant compared with open surgery.In addition,compared with open surgery in this study,vacuum-assisted excision has the advantages of lower recurrence rate,but it still needs long-term dynamic observation.

    • 摘要: Initially,zolpidem,a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic agent,was considered to have fewer adverse reactions than traditional benzodiazepines.However,after zolpidem was approved for medical use,an increasing number of case reports have described abuse or dependence complications.We were especially interested in the cases of dependence that presented a paradoxical‘euphoric’effect of zolpidem.This article reports the case of a female zolpidem-dependent patient who presented with 6 years of daily use of 400-1400 mg of zolpidem.She reported subjective effects of euphoria,intense craving and the inability to stop drug ingestion.Her diagnoses were zolpidem dependence and a depressive episode induced by substance abuse.To explore the neural mechanisms of the euphoric effect caused by high-dose zolpidem,we performed repeated magnetoencephalography(MEG)recordings.Before undergoing detoxification,her MEG results indicated that cerebellar electrical signal activation increased when taking high zolpidem doses.However,the prefrontal and parietal lobes’electrical signal activity showed a tendency to recover to a normal state as the withdrawal time progressed to completion.This case suggests that the cerebellum plays a role in the euphoria induced by high zolpidem doses and provides clues for further research.

    • 摘要: [Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different irrigation quotas and irrigation times on soil physical and chemical properties and water content in the planting areas of Gentiana macrophylla in dry farming areas of southern Ningxia.[Methods]G.macrophylla planted for three years was selected as the experimental material,and the water content,nutrients,bulk density and total porosity of the soil at different depths(0-20 and 20-40 cm)were measured under different irrigation quotas and irrigation times.[Results]Compared with the CK,different irrigation quotas and irrigation times could significantly improve the water contents of the 0-20 and 20-40 cm layers in the planting areas of G.macrophylla.The change trend of water content at the 0-20 cm soil depth was 3 times of irrigation>2 times of irrigation>1 time of irrigation>CK,and that at the 20-40 cm soil depth was 2 times of irrigation>3 times of irrigation>1 time of irrigation>CK.With the increase of irrigation times,soil urease in the 0-20 cm soil showed a trend of decreasing at first and then increasing,reaching a maximum value of 0.415 mg/g·24 h with 1 time of irrigation,which increased by 84.44%compared with the CK,and the value with two times of irrigation was basically the same as that of the CK,but 3 times of irrigation resulted in a value 57.33%higher than the CK.However,the changes of 20-40 cm were the opposite.The change trends of alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen in the 0-20 and 20-40 cm soil layers with irrigation times was smaller,and the contents of soil organic carbon,available phosphorus and available potassium increased first and then decreased with the increase of irrigation times,and were generally higher than those in the CK.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical and technical basis for the artificial cultivation of G.macrophylla in dry farming areas of Ningxia.
