This study is an analysis of teacher perceptions of four key aspects of the implementation of the Everyday Mathematics program. The four aspects of curricular implementation that have been addressed include curricular selection, curricular fidelity, curricular appraisal, and teacher commitment to reform in mathematics teaching.;The goal of the study was to obtain data-driven conclusions regarding teachers' reactions to the introduction of the Everyday Mathematics program. Key relationships between program and staff variables that are crucial in the adoption, implementation, and appraisal of an elementary mathematics program were identified.;A major benefit derived from the study was the development of the Esposito Survey of Program Adoption. It may be used individually or in conjunction with additional survey instruments by school districts and agencies throughout the nation to monitor curricular initiatives.
