纽马克翻译理论视角下美剧《基本演绎法》字幕翻译探析

摘要

随着经济全球化和网络的飞速发展,越来越多的外国影视作品不断涌现在中国观众的视野中,尤其是美国电视剧。好的影视作品不但可以起到娱乐观众的作用,还可以促进国际间的文化交流。但是文化及语言的差异使得观众在观看美剧时存在一定的障碍。因此,字幕翻译在美剧欣赏中起到了举足轻重的作用。目前中国的美剧字幕翻译通常是由一些英语爱好者完成的。由于爱好者的英语水平良莠不齐,字幕翻译的质量也有待提高。
　　本文旨在通过对纽马克翻译理论的理解,结合美剧《基本演绎法》中的字幕,分析纽马克翻译理论在美剧《基本演绎法》字幕中的具体应用,最后得出适合该剧字幕翻译的翻译方法。作者将纽马克的翻译理论分为两大部分:文本类型;语义翻译和交际翻译。作者对这两个方面的理论进行了深刻剖析和重新认识,然后将纽马克的理论应用于《基本演绎法》的字幕中,结合相关理论对具体字幕进行分析;最后得出结论:在美剧《基本演绎法》的字幕翻译中应该选择交际翻译法作为其翻译方法。
　　纽马克的翻译理论不仅可以应用于文学作品、广告和电影片名等的翻译中,在美剧字幕翻译中依然可以起到一定的理论指导作用。毫无疑问,这对我国现行美剧字幕组来说起着重要作用。字幕翻译工作人员可以根据纽马克的翻译理论按图索骥,完成字幕翻译工作。有了这样的理论指导,字幕翻译的质量一定会有所提高。
